In this paper, we introduce the concept of generalized Suzuki-Kannan-Ćirić type mappings in metric spaces and show that it is weaker than the concept of Suzuki-Kannan-Ćirić type mappings but stronger than the concept of semi-nonexpansive mappings. Moreover, we obtain the semiclosed principle and endpoint theorems for the class of generalized Suzuki-Kannan-Ćirić type mappings. The strong and convergence theorems of the Kuhfitting iteration for this class of mappings are also discussed.
