For mixed – mode fracture problems in three – dimensional solids, the general formulation of the equivalent domain integral (EDI) method is presented. The local l – integral is split into l1, l2, and l3 for the three modes of deformation. The method can be used as a post- processing subroutine in the SAPLI linear elastic finite element program.
